In this Chapter “Roadside Stand” the Stand means a stall at the side of the Public highway where these poor people set up for the purpose of earning.
Central Idea of a Roadside Stand
Robert Frost in this poem has given emphasis on the social discrimination that prevails on the basis of unequal discrimination of wealth. It divide our society where the rich is getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. The poet has tried to bring the contrast between the village and city goals. In this poem poet has made pleads for equal distribution of appear opportunities among rich and poor.

Summary of a Roadside Stand
The poet opens with the description of an old house that has newly constructed roof which is extended to a shop. The shop is situated at the side of the road where traffic passes at a rapid pace. The shop is open with the interview of earning money. So that they can make progress in their lives. But the refined people never care to shop on if by chance they glance at the shop, they make remain complaints about spoiling a beautiful landscape. The Roadside Stand offers to self some cheap goodies and various vegetables like Squash and Guard.
This place offers a peaceful stay where people stop and enjoy the scenes. Here poet tells people to spend on that place if they have money and asks them to stay out if they are selfish with their money. He also inform people for not complain their sheds as they spoil the scenery of the place.
The roadside stand is made for people from the city with the intention of earning some money to make progress and to extend themselves. They also desire a life shown in pictures and promises by the people in power. There is news that all these poor people will be brought and make to live in the villages next to the theaters and where they do not have to think about themselves. The so-called “Greedy Good Words” exploit their lives by pretending generous ultimately to come into power. The poet feels helpless for people who wait for their prospective customers. Keeping their windows open where the sadness keeps exhibiting this helplessness. These people wait for customers in an open prayer. A prayer that has no ending, No one comes to buy their goddess except a few but with different intentions like to unique about the price, to make a turn back by using an open yard in front of the shop, another to ask for direction and for to ask for fuel.
In the end part, the open concludes that the ultimate relief to him would be if the above put them out of their plight at once and make them that much wealthy so that if any point of time comes into trouble they would also put him out of his pain gently.

The greedy people who pretend to be good doers gather around their lives to exploit them by making fake promises so as to extract maximum profit from them. The Poet called those people Beast searching for their Prey because they earn huge profits by fooling them and destroying their sleep at night.
“Of all the thousands of selfish cars that pass, only some step there but not to buy something” Why do they stop there?
The poet referred to all the wealthy people as selfish because they have money but no intention of helping the poor by buying things offered to them. If by any chance someone stags them just to the price of goodies offered by them, then they use the open yard to turn back to ask for direction and at last for a gallon of gas ultimately they stop for their own interest.

In Today’s world money is the most important factor that makes the world run. The flow of money supports all the development of the cities and prevents them from being destroyed same is hoped for by the people running roadside stands.
“The hurt to the scenery wouldn’t be my complaint,” says Robert Frost what was his real complaint?
The poet did not better about the landscape being managed by that stand owner but his real complaint is about the trust that has been booked by the party in power due to which they face many problem end can’t even express it.
